Among the "hidden gems" at TechEd are the Lunch Sessions. Sure, you have to take your lunch to go…or skip lunch altogether, but they are well worth it.
On Monday, I attended "Microsoft Learning Presents: Getting Ready for Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005". Microsoft has made some comprehensive online training resources available for their upcoming products. They are offering all TechEd attendees free access to a number of these resources through the end of August; however, I have a feeling this will be made available to everyone else, too.
On Tuesday, I attended "Perspective on Creating Technology for the World with Gordon Mangione" — a fascinating look back on the history Microsoft technology. Lots of nostalgia from someone who has been with the company for a long time.
Wednesday, of course, was ".NET Rocks! Live @ TechEd". Some of the members of the Visual Studio 2005 Team System were interviewed. A TechEd highlight, for sure.
